I’ve been running since middle school and my first marathon was in 1988. Since then, I’ve completed over two dozen marathons, a few 50Ks and, countless halves, 10Ks and 5Ks. I’m a past team member of Team Rogue and Gilbert’s Gazelles in Austin, Texas. Since moving to “runner’s heaven” (Portland), I’ve joined Portland Running Company’s Racing Team and another masters racing team. I alway train with a group because runners are cool people and running with a group is super fun.

My recent personal bests are 2nd place age/gender in the 2014 Austin Marathon and 2nd place age/gender in the 2014 Austin Distance Challenge (six race tournament). My most memorable race is the Imogene Pass Run from Ouray to Telluride through the Rocky Mountains. The course is incredibly beautiful and starts at 8000 feet, peaks at 13,100 feet and finishes at 9000 feet.

This year, I’m participating in the PRC Race Team Grand Prix, the new St. John Mile and CIM in Sacramento in December.

Running is one of my life’s pillars, it keeps me mentally and physically balanced and socially connected. Portland Fit is a great program with the latest training techniques to maximize marathoner’s chances for success. I have found that by trusting your coach and the program and, believing in yourself, you will achieve your marathon goal. As a coach, I hope to guide and support marathoners to meet their goals.
